Postgraduate
Level
The Masters' programmes allow specialisation
in specific areas enabling students to take up middle-management positions
in the chosen field. Currently, CCT offers two programmes at the Master's
level. Other specialisations are under consideration for introduction
during the coming years.
Master's in Journalism (part-time,
evening) challenges students to take up the discussion of current happenings
from the standpoint of common interests and learn how to disseminate
such analyses through reporting and opinion columns in various media.
This programme is available on a part-time basis during the evenings.
Master's in Integrated Marketing Communications (part-time,
evening) enables the student to think across disciplines to examine
an organisation's contact points with customers and other stakeholders
aligning them to provide powerful messages that foster lasting relationships.

Regulations
M. Phil. is a research-based programme allowing students
to pursue an investigation in a specific research area after consultation
with an academic member within the CCT. The CCT also offers an MA by
research through the Faculty of Arts. However students who intend pursuing
an academic career in the communications area are highly encouraged
to follow the M. Phil. option.
Students following a M. Phil. may be allowed to register
for a Ph. D. degree provided the work undertaken at M. Phil. is of
an acceptable standard and the research area is one where supervision
can be provided. The MA, M. Phil., and Ph.D are available on a part-time
basis during the day.
