Site works for the Gateway Building, also designed by Prof. R. England, were started in 1996 and the building was commissioned in 1999. The Building has four lecture theatres catering for 200 students. Each of these theatres can be partitioned to house two simultaneous lectures of around a 100 students each. Another small hall seats 75 students. There are 2 seminar rooms seating 50 students, 4 seminar rooms accomodating 25 to 30 students and 8 tutorial rooms catering for groups of around 10 to 15 students. There are only three offices in the building housing the Student Advisory Services and the University Scheduling Office. The beadles at the Gateway Building may be contacted on ext. 3094
The basement level houses digital video facilities, a TV studio with its respective control rooms and graphics facilities. |
